Manalo Animal Products and Services (MANALO K9 TECHNOLOGIES INTERNATIONAL) was started by Dr. Abel Manalo (DVM) at Angono, Rizal, Philippines in July 31, 2007 as a dog breeding and training business.  It evolved to be a K9 Service Provider providing K9 Teams to various clients. 

On March 14, 2009, MANALO K9 was selected as the Philippine partner of Vigilant Canine Services International (VCSi).  Another K9 company, Cavite Puerto, was also absorbed.  The resulting teamed-up/ merged organization (known as MANALO K9-VCSi International) played the crucial role of developing and supplying working dogs and handlers for VCSi contracts abroad, especially across Afghanistan, where the need at the time was biggest.

MANALO K9 became consultant to the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) J3 in 2009, and helped organize the 1^st AFP K9 Competition under the Office of the AFP Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations (J3), MGEN Carlos B. Holganza, held July 4, 2009. MANALO K9 officials also served as overall evaluators and judges of all participants including the best K9 teams from the Air Force, Coast Guard, Army, PNP Aviation Security Group, as well as civilian K9 Provider agencies.

MANALO K9 has been very successful in training hundreds of dogs, and supplying them to work as EDDs, NDDs and Patrol Dogs locally and internationally, especially the USA and the Middle East, for security groups, police and military outfits.

MANALO K9 is accredited with the Philippine National Police (PNP), and has been working closely with the Regional Office (CALABARZON) since 2009 in deployments requiring K9 assistance, and has provided the Basic K9 Handlers Training to the SWAT-EOD team members thru the MANALO K9 Basic K9 Handlers Training Course.

MANALO K9 is a member of the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Association of the Philippines (EODAPI), the country’s association of bomb/ explosive ordnance disposal experts.

MANALO K9 has benefited greatly from its partnership with VCSi - its’ vast experience in the international K9 business from working/ operating in countries like Iraq, Afghanistan, South Africa, and of course, the USA has given MANALO K9 the strong edge over most other K9 Service providers.
