In 2012, the Philippine Aso formal registry was opened to gather a parent (P) gene pool, and the breed standard was drafted in 2012, which is a guide for its' selective breeding program that aims to preserve and strengthen the special characteristics of the native dogs that make them very unique. F1 dogs are now on the ground.
